[HELP]: SFM crashes after splash screen *SOLVED*
I have around 16 hours of SFM and this never happened. I was working on an animation I was making and then quit. Today I wanted to keep doing it, but now SFM started crashing after the splash screen, and a small white window pops up for a second.
I tried the regedit fix for it, verifying the game cache files and removing my usermod folder (thought it could be some models I got for the animation) all with no success. Could anyone help?

EDIT: If the things I mentioned above don't work for you, try Pte Jack's solution.

Did you try exiting the Steam client and restarting it then go to SFM and try again?

No matter how absurd that sounded, I tried and it worked. Go figure... *facepalm*

Client has gone through a couple of updates, SFM needed to know that you updated.

Ah well, thanks for the help!
Maybe I know.
Step 1: Go to C:\Program Files or you have WinVista or Win7 (x86)\Steam\steamapps\
common\SourceFilmMaker\game
Step 2: Delete the sfm.exe, bin, hl2 and resources.

Step 3: Reinstall the Source Filmmaker. This would fix the problem.

And there you go! Your Source Filmmaker is fixed!

Same issue, after 15 hours it just keeps crashing on the startup. Deleted all the files, verified it, uninstalled and reinstalled it, restarted steam but it just won't work anymore. Welp.

Edit: Adding -nop4 as a parameter fixes it, I don't really understand why Preforce/Python makes it crash.
