Check to see if you got enough for it to show up as an entry under the Library, all softwares area of the Steam Client, if it's there, right click, select properties then in the local files tab, select verify integrity of application cache. LET IT FINISH. This may complete your download.

I have no worries anymore... but when I launch the game, it says gameinfo.txt is missing.

have a look and see if there is a folder, sourcefilmaker\game\usermod

That is where you should find the gameinfo.txt file.

One other thing to do is try to lauch the steam client as an administrator. Your current permissions may not allow it the ability to create the folders required.
