Beards & Lip-Sync
Heyooo. Noobie SFM user here. I'm currently on a project that has me using the braided viking beard on a HWM soldier model which i imported into SFM manually. I've reached the lip-syncing phase and i've hit a bit of an annoying problem. The soldier can move his lips, but the beard does not move with it, so you can barely see any of my hard grafted movement.
When i look at the beard model in the Animation set editor, i see various points which are meant to lock to the soldier model, BUT they are meant to lock to a non HWM model. eg. Face->Full Face->happyBig, mad, happySmall, painSmall etc. These "emotions" are not present to lock onto in HWM models, only standard models.
My question is, is there a way to lock these points to a HWM soldier model?

Looking at the HWM Medic and the fall2013_medic_wc_beard, both models have facial flexes. Unfortunately, that is what they are, is flexes. So in order to make them work together, you have to move the flexes for each model, serpately. There is no way to link flexes. HOWEVER, you can select the face elements of both at the same time. Ctl-left click the face of each. this will put the sliders for both in the slider area. Depending on the way they are selected, you can have the medic's slider on top and the beard's on the bottom.

So If I want to set the medic's Small happy, I would select the time period I want the change to take place, then select emotions tab and find the small happy slider for the medic's face and set that. I would then find the small happy slider for the beard and give it the same setting. When I play the animation, the face and the beard move together.

maybe copy and paste the samples in the motion editor, or keyframes in the graph?
