Is it safe to delete the workshop file, if so will steam generate another when needed?
I want to move some stuff from the Workshop file to the Usermod file and I was just wondering if its safe to then delete the workshop file. If it is safe, will steam make another one when I download more workshop content?

If you've subscribed to a workshop item and SFM can not find it when it loads, you will receive a bug message to download it again. You can either accept the download or cancel it. But everytime you load SFM without downloading the item, SFM will prompt you.

ok, but if I have the files then unsubscribe will it still prompt me with the bug?

Nope, if you unsubscribe from a workshop item you will be bugged to remove the files (if you leave them in the workshop folder). Again, you can accept or cancel the operation. BUT...
If you protect your workshop files and unsubscribe, ( http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=217773104 ) then you won't be bugged.

ok, what I mean is if I move the workshop content into the usermod, then delete the workshop stuff and unsub will I be prompted with the bug and If i do delete the workshop FOLDER, will steam generate another the next time i install workshop content?

I wouldn't delete the folder... Just move and unsubscribe. You won't be bugged. But you won't receive updates to a changed workshop item either. But I believe that if you do delete the folder, SFM will regenerated it if required.

ok thanks for putting up with all my questions, there is just 1 more, can I delete the files for the content I got after I've copied them to the usermod and unsubbed?

Just unsubcribe and accept the bug to remove unsubbed files, that will clear everything out.

Thank you so much! Do you have a youtube channel or something, because I'd be happy to follow/sub to it
