The l4d survivor models have always been a little weird in SFM. You may have to re-order your SDK to get the survivors to work in sfm. So you should try putting your "left4dead2" folder above the "left4dead" folder in the sfm sdk. That's what I had to do to get them visible in SFM. The models only crash SFM if you have your sdk in the wrong order.
