Fake Factory Cinematic Mod 13 maps to SFM
this may not be possible, but I've had interest in the quality of the FakeFactory maps - They look very good for Posters/Pose creation, because of it's high quality. The problem is, I've heard there's no actual .bsp files that make up the maps in the mod, despite how the Source Engine is built. Is there a way to get the maps from Fakefactory's mod, or have SFM 'patch' the data into the preexisting maps? I know the models are the same, though, so patching the models with the original models would be no problem.

is fakefactory a source game?

also, it's quite possible to have maps that aren't bsps. they are called scenebuilds. maps made out of models and set in a black map like blackvoid or scenebuild_hugevoid.

Yes, it is. It's a mod of Half-Life 2, basically, but it's built in a strange way. On the forums, I learned that the map files aren't made from .bmp files, but of two seperate files that apperanly 'patch' into the Source files. These files that came out of the decompiled .vpk are .lmp and .pat files ( I assume these .lmps are 'patched' into the Source maps via the .pats, but I have no official confirmation of such. ).

have no idea then. never heard of either.
It's okay, maybe I can figure it out myself, or someone else can help me out. ^^
Okay, I've figured it out. During installation, the installer builds a 'custom' folder with the 1_cm_Loosefiles file in it. This contains all the .bmps and models, so we know .bsps are involved. If it is deleted, it is simply a matter of finding the models and maps if they are put into .vpks.

Link to the packs?
UPDATE: I got the Cinematic Mod content in, but on some maps, I get the 'Failed to lock vertex buffer in CMeshDX8' error, and that, obviously kills SFM. I thought the maps and models would be ready for use in SFM, but it doesn't seem like it is for now.
