Wanting to add models/characters

I have searched on youtube and google and even tried to figure it out myself, but i cant seem to add characters on SFM. Im wanting to add The Legend Of Zelda characters on there and i cant figure out how. I have a windows 8 computer and nothing on the internet can tell me how to import or add the models and things that i want because theres always a bump that makes me unable to do it because of the type of computer i have. Im not sure this is the right place to ask but it helped alot when i asked about my other problems. So could someone at least tell me where better to look? Because obviously ive been looking in the wrong places. Thank you so much for the support!

P.s. Yes, i did search to see if there was a discussion already about this, but i couldnt find any that was what i was looking for :)

Well it did help a little. But when i subscribed, the box didnt pop up, and when i went back to sfm, it wasnt there. Im not sure what happened, do u think it may be the type of computer? Or did i do somehing wrong? I dont know what to do. But you did help alot just not everything worked out as i hoped it would. Thank you anyways!

Yea, i'm also having trouble downloading 'em to SFM. Usually when i see things like this is always Garry's Mod. I'm trying to download a Pikachu model that was from Super Smash Bros that 2 guys made. Seems that Steam no longer supports SFM items. You just gotta look for newer ones unfortunately.

Talk about pointless necro. Also, if Steam did stop supporting SFM workshop, the workshop wouldn't exist right now.

If you're talking about "Download subscribe item" pop up window, maybe try restarting SFM.

Look at the tabs on top right now. Do you see the word “Workshop”? That’s where you should go. Also, do visit the Newbie’s Guide to SFM pinned thread in this very forum to start learning.
