Is there an alternative to dry-erase markers on your monitor?
After watching the following tutorial:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Gk0K_wwCdI&index=16&list=PL2B46DEB4157E67C4

He suggested to use dry erase markers on your computer screen to rough out the poses. While they may be removed easily from my screen, I was hoping that there would be a much better alternative somewhere. Also, I doubt my roommate would take kindly to me using a dry-erase on the monitor. For the Blender users out there, there's a feature in that program called Greese Pencil which seemed like something that you would expect to find in an industry standard animation software like SFM. I was wondering if there's a script like that for SFM or something of the like.

Thanks in advance.

get some plastic wrap, wrap it over your screen and wrap it tight, to a point where no air bubbles really obstruct view. Then, just use the markers on that. That's what I do, and it works pretty good as long as I remember the angle I was sitting when I drew things.

There has to be a good (and free) grease pencil app out there that allows you to "draw" directly on your screen at the press of a key or something. Sadly I was unable to find one.

I was thinking of using some of my old tracing paper but this seems like a good idea as well.

maybe, but without a tablet to draw with you'd be limited to mouse drawing

Use a banana. And make sure it is covered in chocolate sauce.

Alternatively, I've heard of a program called Epic Pen which might be what you're looking for.

In your position I'd probably just copy the image to clipboard and open it in photoshop and draw on it there

I'm talking about simple gestures for animation poses, not full sketches.
