How do I find where the skybox texture is located?
I usually do find them, but there's this famous gm_mountainside map (it's in the workshop) and it uses the skybox named simply "snow".
(I typed into console sv_skyname and it said snow)
I want to use that in another map, but obviously, I need to copy the vmt into the map's folder.
And I can't find where it is located.
So my question is, that is it somehow baked into the map's bsp file - and I can't use it on a different map - or is it a single file somewhere amonst the folders?

Thanks in advance!

If its not on this page, it's probably embedded in the BSP. You can extract it using BSPSource.

Hmm, it seems I need to extract it. Thanks for the answer!

all the default skyboxes are in their own folder.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\tf\materials\skybox

each one is actually 5 or 6 textures.

Yeah, thanks, but the one I'm looking for isn't default, I need to get it from the map.

You may have to port the one you want from your game files
