Imported Models not showing in Workspace or Model Viewer
I have been trying to import an entire model pack called "Japan Content Pack" (this includes models from the map called Suijin). I have been able to find them in the Model menu, but they don't showup in the model viewer or display, nor in the workspace. They are selectable through the motion editor but they seem to be invisible.
You can, however, check the collision model box and the model is still invisible, just framed with red lines. Is this a problem with the textures or do I have my importing path here wrong? ProgramFiles (x86)> Steam> SteamApps> common> SourceFilmmaker> game> usermod. I then upload the content pack into the models file. Again, I am able to find them in the models menu, but they will not appear in the viewer.

I've watched some tutorials but none of which seem to helping. I am completely new to SFM, so please excuse my ignorance and thanks in advance!

You put the material files in the wrong folder. Check the console and see the material errors. They will show the missing ones including their actual file path

All it says in the console is that there is no load of .VVD data for a prop, no file paths. :c

Ok, I have the pack, first thing I did was go to SFM\Games and created a folder called Japan_pack and unzipped the Maps, models, materials and particles folders to that folder. You have to drill into the zip to find them, there buried 2 levels down.

I then launch the SFM SDK and added the japan_pack folder to the gameinfo.txt file by using the Edit Searchpaths tools at the bottom of the SDK screen.

Then I launched SFM and the first thing I did was go looking for the map and found none. (There are no BSP files in the pack), so I loaded stage...

Because I loaded these into the proper folders, everything seems to work fine in sfm.

So my actual path is, just like this

and this is a scene I was able to build with the pack

I would suspect that your path looks something like usermod/japan content pack/japancontentpack_1.0/models, usermod/japan content pack/japancontentpack_1.0/materials, etc... your models and materials are buried 2 levels too deep
