Rendering Problem [FIXED]
So, this is a bit of a weird problem I have with rendering. When i render with normal settings and without AO enabled , its fine. But when i want to render with any other settings, Lets say DOF: 128 and MOTION BLUR: 64, it just goes static in the middle of the render and stays like this for the rest of the video. And this isn't just one video, this is every render i use settings that aren't the default. This happens in every video format. The image sequences do this as well, except they start flashing blue. I've tried reloading windows, and it still does the same thing.

Here are my Computer specs in case you are wondering:

Processor; AMD A6-3620 with Radeon(tm) HD graphics 2.20 GHz

Installed Memory (RAM); 8.00 gb (7.48 gb usable)

System type: 64-bit Operating System.

Also, here is an example of what happens with an image sequence. With videos it doesn't go all flashy like that but it still freezes like it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=093omTnRQd0&list=UUKYlFdKLCTnufumGqMYEVIw

It does go back at the end in this, but thats very rare.

If you can help me, please leave a comment in this discussion telling me how to fix this. Thanks!

Every once in a while I have this problem when rendeing as well. It may be attributed to other processes running while rendering causing the SFM render to "Stand Still" at the point it baulks, don't know. Usually, I find the the video stops but the sounds continue normally to the end of the clip in the rendered product.

I notice this behavour happens most when I render a clip and decide to do other things like screen captures, working with python script based programs like gimp or blender while SFM renders in the background. If I just let SFM render and leave things a lone, the render usually processes without problems. It may be a resource problem.

When it happens, I usually delete the render session (mp4) and the .txt files created durning the bum render, start the render over and walk away from the computer.

i always attributed this problem to my putting ridiculous amounts of animation sets into shots driving the memory usage way up. I'm surprised to see it happening with a simple scene of a chair in a room.

in my current project i have scenes i was able to render fine without the blue or other weird glitches by lowering the DoF from 1028 to 512. in a previous project i ended up rendering in a lower resolution entirely to avoid it.
