Flickering light of a fireplace ?
Hi, I would like to give the fireplace and the fire inside of it in my animation a fitting light emittion, a flickering light to say. Whats the best way to do this? Turning the intensity of the light on and off? Using more than one light? Any tips?

make a light, give it a red tint, and then place it facing wherever you want the fire light to reflect. Then, select your clip, select your light, and hold on to the intensity slider. Play the clip while oscilating the intensity slider. You can either be extreme with it, or very gentle. Afterwards, you can keep it all selected and pull the smooth slider maybe 2 times to get that effect. I'm sure there's a smarter way to do this, but this is my silly way.

I think I got an idea too - jitter the intensity slider makes a good flickering, then you can smooth it out g00d

You can use the jitter preset instead of jittering it manually.

How could I necro the post if someone else necro'd the post first?
That's like charging me with murder because I shot a dead man... lol

Wait jitter works with lights?
All this time I thought it just worked with cameras and models.
