Document was not opened because there was an error reading the file.
I've been working on the same project for 2 weeks now which should have only taken a few hours, but sometimes when I save my work, the next time I try to open it I get an error message stating that the document was not opened because there was an error reading the file. I've started over four times now,and its not just that, but all of my saved sessions have the same problem.I was able to open them just fine a while ago, but now I cant open any of them.

You must have done something that corrupted the project. Did you mess in the element viewer, or used third-party scripts?

go to usermod\elements\sessions and see if there is a backup or an autosave file, rename the extension to .dmx and try to load that.

That seemed to do the trick.

I had same problem, but changing the .autosave file to a .dmx didn't work either.

Oh and in console it says this as the error: "Unable to remove c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\sourcefilmmaker\game\usermod\elements\sessions\engiridingtanktwo.bak!" (engiridingtanktwo is the name of my creation)

I did a bit of research, a .bak file is typically a backup file
