CSS textures in sfm?
I loaded a map that requires Counter Strike: Source textures, but it showed up with a bunch of errors. I DO own CSS, so I was kind of surprised that CSS wasn't automatically mounted onto SFM.
Is there a way to get these textures into SFM?~
-thanks.

Not sure if this is the same process as in Jimo's video/guide, I haven't viewed it. But it works just as well

1. Open the CS:Source VPK in GCFScape,
2. Create a folder in your Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game folder
3. Extract the Models, Materials, Particles and Sound folders from the VPK into that folder
4. Launch the SFM SDK
5. Select Edit Search paths from the SDK
6 Find the folder you created in the list and check it on.
7. Launch SFM
8. Create a session and load a map
9. Create an animationSet for new model
10. Change the mod folder from All Mods to the folder you created
11. Watch the models you extracted fill the browser
12. Select one of the models, it should display properly in the viewer.

If it does, Congrats, you have successfully ported the game, if not, go back and try the steps again, you missed something

Apologies for the Necropost, but what if your SFM SDK doesn't have the "Edit Search Paths" link?

Then we can't help you, because there is no other legal way to acquire the assets.

I know I'm late but YES THERE IS !

Download and install SteamCMD

We will use 3 commands to download files.
The first command will be "login anonymous".
The second command is "force_install_dir ./Css/", this command will not give any confirmation that it was executed.
The third command will be "app_update 232330".
Note: Do not include the quotation marks.

By completing the third command, begin to download the CSS files (~ 2GB).
Wait until completion.

Once you finished follow Pte Jack's guide.

EDIT: Credit to LocalFBIAgent for the file obtention part.
