sfm crashes every time i do anything (please help me)

everytime i launch sfm and start working it crashes. I launch sfm, open a project and move a model and it crashes with no error messages, no nothing. I can't even look at a model in the element viewer or change the camera.

I tried launching it through the SDK and even tried waiting a couple minutes after launching to see if it just didn't like me using the thing right after launch. I checked my steam client and it's telling me it's up to date.

sorry if this sounds stupid but i genuinely do not know what could be causing this. Any ideas or solutions?

update: tried launching sfm again today and turns out it works normally until i try to scale down a model in element viewer which is the same thing that happened yesterday. It worked fine until i wanted to scale down a model and sfm didn't like that and had a fit and kept shutting down after launch.

It crashed once after trying to scale in the element viewer and still works normally right now. So i can use it again but no scaling for me. (i really hope im wording this right.)

Do you happen to use Grammarly, Microsoft Power Automate, or a VPN? They're known to cause random, consistent crashes for Source Filmmaker.

same problem for me. Nothing on the internet really worked on this issue and i feel like im stuck lol
