Animating a recorded model?

Hello, how do you edit and animate a recorded model like in Nope.avi?

Like, I think he recorded the engineer running up to the camera then edited it somehow. How do I do this? It's been irritating me trying to figure it out.

record your shot. then right click the animation set editor and select create animation set for existing element. Then just select the model you want to edit.
