How do I close a hand perfectly? (a fist)
I know it's a stupid question but I'm a noob. When I try to do it, all the fingers overlap and i dont know where to put the thumb. Can you make a video tutorial on it? ( I know, I'm so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb)

One easy way is to find a sequence were the character makes a fist, and import that sequence just to the fingers. For example, to turn a Heavy's hand into a fist, you'd import his melee sequence to just his right (or left) fingers.
Another way to manually do it is to look at your own hand when you make it a fist, noting where all the fingers go and where your thumb crosses etc.

Zach Scott has a great tutorial on this. When you rotate the fingers, set the rotation mode to local, select all the the bones for the digits you want to "curl" ie finger 1_0 through finger 4_3 put the rotation mode to local then rotate all of them at the same time. See this video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5CUNfNSGdU

1- Close your fist.
2- Look at it.
3- Reproduce the fingers' positions to the best of your abilities.

Animation is all about observation. If you're at a loss as to how to place a limb in a certain pose, act the scene out yourself. Don't be afraid to look dumb, that's the best way to visualize it :)

Same way. Now his melee sequences may not have as closed a fist as Heavy's, so you may have to adjust the fingers and such.
