I'm pretty sure that it just isn't in SFM yet, because I've already looked through all the medic items.

Yeah, I think we're behind on an update. It wouldn't be in SFM anyway, you'd have to grab the model and materials out of the Game VPK.

Explanation or link to one please? I'm quite new to SFM, so I only know how to make fairly good pictures, I don't yet know how to animate or anything beyond what is currently in the software. Still can make pretty good pictures though.

The Dread Riding hood is made up of 2 items, they were released on Feb 19 in an update that I haven't looked at yet... The actual model names are thief_sniper_cape and thief_sniper_hood. They are found in the misc and textures vpk in your Team Fortress\tf folder. If you don't know how to extract them, I have a video on my YouTube channel that will show you how to extract the files. They are located and must go in to your models and your materials\models folders under the workshop. path the the model is models\workshop\player\items\sniper\thief_sniper_cape and models\workshop\player\items\sniper\thief_sniper_hood Materials are the same path, just add materials\ in front of model. (how's that for a link??)

Would you mind telling me how to fix the textures? I followed along with your video and I now have the models, but it's missing the texture. Your video about fixing textures seemed really confusing, so I've already been there.

Not sure what you mean by fix the textures, this hat isn't paintable.

just make sure they are in tf\materials\models\workshop\player\items\sniper\thief_sniper_cape and tf\materials\models\workshop\player\items\sniper\thief_sniper_hood

and the models are in tf\models\workshop\player\items\sniper\thief_sniper_cape and
tf\models\workshop\player\items\sniper\thief_sniper_hood

Okay I really don't know what's wrong but it still has a missing texture as in the purple-and-black grid

Yes, the files are in the right places

If the item is pink and black checkered, then they are not in the right place. Check the console for error messages, they'll tell you where they need to be.

Hey. I have the same problem. Every Thief-themed misc (+ the bow) is pink and black checkered...And I'm 100% sure they are in right places...Console is saying this:

Model file 'workshop/player/items/sniper/thief_sniper_cape/thief_sniper_cape.mdl' and associated vtx files are out of date
Error: Material "models/workshop/player/items/sniper/thief_sniper_cape/thief_sniper_cape" : proxy "invis" not found!
"materials/models/workshop/player/items/sniper/thief_sniper_cape/thief_sniper_cape_color.vtf": can't be found on disk

This is annoying as hell, never had something like this...

AND BOTH ARE VMT files...WHERE ARE THE VTF's then...o_O"

(oh god, I'm blind or just tired and can't see them...)

VMT's are Material files. They define if a material is reflective, lit, all sorts of stuff. VTF's are just textures. They're simply pictures. Nothing else.
