Stacking bodies(models) on each other
Hiya. I recently got a request for a SFM poster and the guy that gave me the request told me that he'd like some bodies stacked on each other. Aaand, the problem is, I don't know how to do that. So, does anyone have something that cold help me? If so, please respond. Thanks in advance :)

It's extremely tedious to create a pile of ragdolls in SFM, unless you want them stack them like boxes, which isn't the case.
I think SFMPhys is the tool you're looking for, you can use it to create a pile of ragdolls as if you're doing it in Gmod.

Wow, I didn't know anything like that existed. Please tell us where to find it and how to use it

It's the first time Iv'e heard of SFMPhys, I wondered if there was a more simple way than stacking models without a tool. Ill try it out ASAP and see if it's good. Thanks a lot for the respond :happymeat:

Don't thank me, thank Christoffer395. He's the one that told us about this. I thank both of you tho, for responding to my thread and for helping me a lot. Thanks again :happymeat:

how big of a stack are we talking? i once stacked up approximately 700 models on top of one another and ended up corrupting my project file. it simply would not open the next time i went to load it, lol. So my advise.. be careful because SFM does have it's limits. If you've already got some work done for the scene you should create an alternative backup save file before adding in the stack of bods.

btw i did it by posing together 2 different small stacks of 10 ragdolls then simply copy / pasting those animation sets over and over and fitting the stacks together in a way that looked good as i went. Something like SFMPhys would have been awesome, but at the time, it could only work with simple static prop models.

Trust me, I do know SFM has limits. Especially because of my computer. My computer is horrible, I bought it about 7 years ago and it's still working (for some reason xD). SFM crashes a lot, so when I'm done with some models or something like that I save my file. I click on the save button every like 5 mins or so. About the size of the stack, it's not gonna be huge, It's gonna be like maybe 5 models and that's it. But, thank you for responding to my thread :D:

If it's TF2 characters you could always record yourself dying (typing kill in console) a whole bunch of times. It needs some adjustment after the fact but I've done it before.

Only your first body will disappear after you died again, sadly...
