Report a translation problem
The SMG doesn't have a constant version, mostly because it doesn't fire nearly fast enough for a constant stream of particles to look right. And then there's the Cleaner's Carbine which has a slower firing rate, yet uses the same particle system (muzzle flash from a suppressed weapon... right...), so it would be slightly desynced if it was set to emit every tenth of a second.
It's most likely possible to make a looping version with the particle editor, though I'm not sure how difficult that would be.
