How to import the source files to SFM.
Hello everyone! I'm totally new with my recently downloaded Source Filmmaker and like the title mentioned above, I would like to know how to import the source files, specifically Femme Pyro's, as a model to the SFM. I have been looking through many tutorials in Youtube but I've been unable to accomplish this (I suspect it has something to do with the different file-types). Is there a different way to input the Femme Pyro-model to the SFM or am I missing something?

Here is a link to the source files of the model I was told to use.

Please be detailed as possible with your instructions as I'm fairly new to this.

You don't want to be using the source files, that's if you want to make modifications to the model yourself in a 3D editing program.

You need already "compiled" files, that is, an MDL file and its associated files (mostly VVD and VTX), as well as the material files (VMT and VTF). There's quite a few SFM-ready versions of Fempyro out there, here's some examples:

Installing models into SFM is a fairly simple process, you just have to know where to put the stuff you download. Simply put, the downloaded files should be in two base folders, "models" and "materials". DO NOT mess with their contents' filepath, it's set up the way it is for a reason. Just copy those two folders into your SFM's game/usermod folder, and say yes to merge. Also, if the download contains other files or folders other than "models" or "materials", it's usually best to ignore them.

If the model appears in the list in SFM, but is somehow invisible or pink and black checkered, you can diagnose the problem by looking for error messages in the console.
