[Help!] Compiling a model for SFM With GUIStudioMDL.
So, Recently, i finished a new model, and i want to see how it looks in SFM. problem is, i have trouble doing so.

in GUIStudioMDL. i made sure the file path for episode 1 is /Steam/Steamapps/Common/Sourcefilmmaker/Game/Bin.
And when i click the Add button next to the drop down menu where it says "usermod" on it. i go to the usermod directory of SFM. and click on the Gameinfo.txt and it gives me this Error message.

"Game information could not be found in the "gameinfo.txt file. The game/mod can't be added to the selection list."

i Kept googling this a million times and no one else had the exact issue i had as far as i know.
i have a feeling it works somehow sense i compiled in the SFM Directory before years ago. so i have no clue why its not working for some strainge reason.

i guess i Could just compile it with GMod's directory and port the gmod version to SFM. but just incase if there would be problems when porting the model to SFM From gmod. i need to know how to fix this issue. i dont know if im the only one that has this issue or not. but i really need help with this imidently!

Yep exact same problem happen to me listen use crowbar it's just like GUI studio k just change the setting of the QC from decompiling to compiling then goto recompiling or compiling option and then drag your QC to the search bar and choose sourcefilmmaker as your custom game and hit compile that's it.Your model will be then ready

Also if you choose the path compile 0.70 something be sure to check the folder in which you put your QC the model might have got there or full path to usermod then go there drag your compile model manually to your folder that's it

You can always STOP using outdated tools, GUIStudioMDL was written prior to Steam going Pipeline. It depended on certain files being in specific locations or it would fail the Compile or CRASH.

Get Crowbar and use its compiler GUI. It's Fast and Simple to use. It's configurable for almost any Valve related game. Installs ANYwhere on your computer and runs.

OR, Use Blender as your Compiler GUI, again Fast, Simple and WORKS...
