what is hang detected?
whenever i play a video in sfm ( im using dota 2 reborn beta tools sfm) everything seems fine for maybe a minute or so then the box "Hang Detected " comes up and basically just continues until i crash my sfm ?

anyone know what im doing wrong ?

noob question sry lol .

Hang detected means that the software is not responding.

idk . its like lagging and stuff now . pretty weird . been working fine these past few days when i installed everything , should i maybe verify game cache or something ? idk.

its lag/not responding period like what sfm always does. they just added a pop up thing for the dota release.

No, no, it's called Source 2 FilmMaker, or in your case "s2fm".

well im still getting the problem lol. could it be from having to many models loaded in at one time thats making it really laggy ect? it seems to happen only when i move to a different time in the video so im not sure . sometimes it just freezes and stays at the "Hang Detected" window then i have to crash . so idk .

basically if i have a beast computer i can work in sfm without any hang problems? or .. because i did want to upgrade my computer anyways for this and really get into my work .


also i wouldnt know what i would need. more ram ? better harddrive? im using 8gb ram right now so i dont think thats the prob really idk

im gunna try and make this simple since i myself don't know everything about my pc lol

hard drive - WD 500gb
graphics card - AMD Radeon HD 7900 series (4gb)
Processor - AMD FX(tm)-6100 Six-Core Processor 3.3GHz

if you need anymore information let me know and ill try to find it
