Maybe I didn't make the ref and phys right, but i still cant figure it out.

We probably need more information. What does it say when you try to compile the model?

at some points it says that it has 2-d geometry (i believe i fixed that) and other times it says the model is missing all bones. Otherwise, i was able to compile it, it just doesn't show up in SFM.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=270655034 I believe this will show you what it looks like. Note: it has a lot of bones because of the missing bones error and I don't know how to make the static_prop bone.

what format are you exporting to, have you written a qc and compiled it?
Deeakron Jun 14, 2014 @ 4:54am
I export to .smd and yes, I've written a qc, but im not sure if it's correct.

Here is my .qc(if it has problems let me know):
$modelname "props\tent.mdl"
$body mybody "tent-ref.smd"
$staticprop
$surfaceprop combine_metal
$cdmaterials "models\props"

$sequence idle "tent-ref.smd"

$collisionmodel "tent-phys.smd" { $concave }

You don't need a physics model for SFM.

Which studiomdl are you using and what is your game config set to? if it is TF2 then your model may be compiking but going to TF folder instead of SFM. Are you getting errors from StudioMDL if so what?
Deeakron Jun 14, 2014 @ 12:36pm
I use GUIStudioMDL 2.2 and i move the files from the TF folder to SFM after compiling. I may not be putting the files in the right place, though.

You're compiling for TF not SFM. Why not use Blender?

even if using guistudio it should drop them directly into the sfm usermod folder if configured right. have to select orange box and select the usermod config file.

I tried compiling it directly in the usermod folder and it still didn't work.
