Fireplace Particles?
I've searched in every particle folder within SourceFilmmaker, and i'm unable to make a fireplace look "realistic". I've tried with pyro fire, HL2 fire, but it simply ain't looking right.

Any help?

i believe there are camp fire particles in DOTA2 that should look pretty good for what you need. If not, you can always tweak them a bit. Particularly in regard to the "Radius" or "Radius Scale" parameters if the fire is too big for the fireplace.

This is what is currently happening. (The HL2 Fire particle)

Have you tried spamming some particles? A single particle system would probably not achieve any desired results

he's having a texture error problem in the image he showed. i don't know how to fix that specific case, some game material files must not be in the right place or something.

Like i said before, DOTA2 will have what you need. tons of good particles and other good assets in that game. You should really have it for SFM.:tgrin:

Issue is, i do not own Dota 2. Neither am i planning on. It's not really worth paying simply for Source Filmmaker. But i don't understand.. It's a Half Life 2/HL2 particle which is already approved by SFM. Then why does it happend?

I've installed Half Life 2 and the following episodes and played them. This error shouldn't occur..

Installing a game on steam is not going to get you the particles you are looking for, you actually have to port the particles, materials and models to SFM before they will show up for use in SFM.

The particles was already ported into Source Filmmaker since i installed the software, hence the "HL2 particle which is already approved by SFM".
