Bloomscale: What's best?
What's the best thing to do with bloomscale, leave it alone or turn it all the way down?
I prefer to turn it all the way down. Anyone with me? Anyone against me?

As a rule of thumb for Garry's Mod videos, bloom should be disabled by default, but exaggerated in dream-ish or heaven-ish scenes or such. That's also what I follow for Source FilmMaker.

Nice. I never thought about that, but I've still done it that way.

I give it a very low number so that it leaves a small aura. Something like 0.02 or so. This mostly for scenes with snow in it, because this is also what I see during snowy days in real life when light reflects off of snow.
Kind of like in scenes like these (not my picture, but real photo)

Never toutched bloom scale myself. I've always left it on default.

yeah, same here. The default value looks fine IMO. I tend to increase it during explosions and such to emphasize them.

I've just never known what it did, and so left it be. But now that you mentioned it's handy for explosives, I'll maybe give it a go.
