for "garbage" collection stats. i have ~30 GB of not default content in sfm and a 2nd main directory right now. it contains everything tho. from dlc and workshop duplicates to anime episodes to some posters and renders, mapsrc and maps and couple of models in downloaded, bakuped, extracted, half-converted, just reference, some raw formats and finished forms. well... everything.
if i would... and i gotta clean that up... it'll be a lot less. how about 1.8 GB of duplicate raw textures the modeller of a doa model sh@t togethher? it doesn't know howto recycle those. damn bad. x)
Tips:
1) Wanna make an animation, learn how to pose and read some principles of animation guid online. Making poster will be a good headstart.
2) Got a problem? Better search for a discussion about it first rather than create a new discussion.
1. now that I have downloaded this, if I download tf2 will the size of the download be reduced?
2. why do I get lags in the editor? I run every source game with 30-50 fps
3. I accidently x-ed out all the tabs and now when I open it all I see is grey, how do I restore the defaults?
2. SFM's system requirements are much higher than any Source game's. to help with that, you can disable ambient occlusion when editing, and lighting too if you have shadowed lights.
3. windows > layout > return to default layout.
I had not really done any animating before SFM. Now I have 71k Youtube subs. SFM is amazingly easy if you're willing to put time into it.
