Which is output format is good? MPEG or H.264
I need a suggestion for output format that can:
balanced quality
faster rendering speed
not high file size

MPEG screws up the lighting. H.264 is the best option

H.264. MPeg compression makes everything very dark and saturated (to the point of not being able to see many things properly), where-as H.264 makes everything very slightly brighter and desaturated (unless I remember wrong) (which can be seen just fine).

MPEG = Slightly darker but more vibrant colors (good for bright scenes and colorful ones)
H.264 = Slightly lighter but colors are a bit washed out (good for darker scenes)

do a few tests renders to see how you like it.

Agreed. Saved me a lot of headaches last time I had to render something long, because the rendering would stop midway (and sometimes go in reverse) due to a map problem so I had to pick back up.
