How do i get the Animated SFM Outro (The logo with the spinning dots and stuff :P)
Lately i've seen animations use this outro and i couldn't find out how. I looked everywhere but couldn't find anything but people saying:

"Use logo.dmx" and all that.. THAT ISN'T IT! Thats the dang picture that shows up when you open sfm..

Not at all animated :P

I open the exact file and guess what, it's animated just like the outro. I'm not sure how you got that, perhaps you could download any Valve video that includes the outro and trim it.

EDIT: Are you sure you open sfm_logo heavy instead? The one with SFM logo poster thing.

I've rendered several test videos with logo.dmx at the end and they were all the same, still pictures. I may just have to use the Valve video suggestion then..

What he said. He smurt. I was just going to say use youtube to mp4 and find a video that contains it. Use Windows Movie Maker (free) for an easy edit.

Check the sfm_logo heavy.

Alright although i believe Windows movie maker makes there be that tunnel vision problem.. unless it doesn't effect sfm renders?..
hXX Jun 28, 2015 @ 9:31pm
Tunnel vision? Explain further? I have used it and it works fine.
MIMI Sentry Jun 28, 2015 @ 9:34pm
Well i'm not sure if its really called tunnel vision, but it seems to make the video's.. frame? messed up. For example: A normal render uploaded straight to youtube will take up the whole screen.. But with moviemaker it seems to make there be a black frame around it.

And i can't find a way to remove it either

Not much. Check my youtube channel. Keep in mind my tutorial wouldn't be a good example, thanks to how I recorded it on my widescreen monitor.

The "actual" logo model is sfm_logo.mdl in the TF_Movies\models\logo folder, but it doesn't have animations, lights or sound, you have to animate it yourself. But the WHOLE thing is animateable. The individual bones are in the Unkown Controls group. You'll have to offset the Screen Manipulator to rotate the reel holes around the reel hub.

If you don't want to have to do it yourself, you use the sfm_logo.dmx file found in the tf_movies\sessions\logo folder and ADD it as a separate session to wherever you want it in your clip following this process... https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SFM/Importing_a_second_session_in_the_Element_Viewer.
