VMPI running in SDK mode but incorrect SDK install detected (error 2)
So im trying to compile a dota map but this is the error i get. could someone fix this?

I'm not sure, but... try choosing "Reset Game Configurations" in Source FilmMaker's SDK, then reboot your computer. I don't work with maps, but that's usually the fix for wrong paths for Source FilmMaker tools.

The solution is to remove the parameter "-mpi" from the compile settings of vvis and vrad.

what does this parameter do? what's missing after the map is compiled without this parameter? :)

In the advanced compile mode, in the parameters/arguments box (whatever it's actually called, I forget). I don't think it's accessible in the basic compile mode.
