To make sure again, I dragged and dropped my qc file over to studiomdl.exe, but one of the compile messages said "Processing LOD for material: (null)". At first, I had my qc file read only the vmt's directory in the $cdmaterials section, but then I added slash and the vmt's name with .vmt at the end, and it got the same message when it tries to compile! Maybe that's the roots to the "no texture" problem? How do I connect the materials to the model and compile it so that the texture actually shows up?
The materials have already been added according to the materials tab, in which I have just discovered apparently that (null) is the name of the material, so I renamed the material and redid everything, but it still didn't work! How can I possibly attatch the texture to the model?! How do I properly add materials so that they show up in Source?!
I already did that, and I linked the material to that folder, but it still didn't help! I need to see an example of how it works in order for me to understand what you're talking about!
Edit: Also, I can't quite provide something myself. But you can search for stuff on the internet to help you.
That was the first thing I did! I couldn't find anything unless I risk my time to painstakingly search for something hoping to find anything related! That is why I had to go here!
I really, REALLY have to get back to adding to this. I just have not had the time, but there are tons of example on qc writing and materials in this.
According to alternativeto.net, MilkShape 3D says it's "Commercial" instead of "Open Source" or "Free". When I installed it, it gave me the choice to install either the 30-day "Trial version" or the "Standard version". That means that when I installed the free version, I can only use it for a month! So, technically, this program you have to pay for!
Never mind! I just had to right-click the model viewer window and select "textured"!
