A well packed png is pretty small and has no visual compression.
The png that comes out of SFM is big because it has no further png compression applied to it, you'd have to save it as a png again out of like gimp or Photoshop.
Export as poster, choose the location of your folder
Choose jpeg, or png for tinier pic.
Choose the resolution.
I always choose 1280 x 720
Export.
Wait.
Done!
