JPEG or PNG
Everybody told me to use JPEG
With no reason.

Well now, can you, the communtiy tell me which is better?

My poster's look pretty good even if it's JPEG

JPEG loads faster on websites and has a lower file size. Yeah, it looks good as long as it's rendered at a high enough resolution, because then the pixel blurring won't be too noticeable as JPEG.
PNG for better quality. If your going for a final render, png is the way to go.

jpegs are a fraction of the size. for a 1080 image you are talking a few hundred kb vs 7-9mb. and for virtually identical image quality.

I like lossless images best.
A well packed png is pretty small and has no visual compression.
The png that comes out of SFM is big because it has no further png compression applied to it, you'd have to save it as a png again out of like gimp or Photoshop.

You need to render as poster. File>export>poster, set to jpeg and render.

Sup, make a folder on your desktop for your sfm art.
Export as poster, choose the location of your folder
Choose jpeg, or png for tinier pic.
Choose the resolution.
I always choose 1280 x 720
Export.
Wait.
Done!
If you want to uplaod a poster, upload it to a community hub.

Thank you, Tosfroy. I'm just about to reply the same thing. I still can't believe some people have no idea how to render a poster. Good thing the guides section is there.

Ahah, yeah. If you have no idea on how to render... you should not really start making sfm, it will be harder than rendering :) Agree with you, there's a guide section.
