HDR Disabled on GMOD Map [SOLVED]
Hi,

I made a gmod map long time ago without any lights, but with a sun. Now I want to use it to make a video with SFM, but it's gives me the "HDR Disabled" error:

"HDR Disabled
This map is missing high dynamic range (HDR) lightmaps.
The SFM requires HDR lightmaps to render properly.
You can create HDR lightmaps for your map with hammer or vrad.
See the Source Developer Wiki for more info."

I Tried to decompile the map (I lost the source file) and compile it again with the HDR option marked: Didn't work.
I tried to put a Light with the default values: Nothing.
I tried to set the 0% and 50% values to the Light: Nothing.

I had this error before with a Black Box that I made for a shot video, but I don't remember how did I fixed it, and now I need this map working on SFM as soon as possible.

Thanks for read

EDIT: Finally I fixed this, here is my tips:

-Delete props that can be added as model in SFM (such as boats like my case)
-Re-size the map (the main zone, and if is possible, the skybox zone)
-Use the TF2's Hammer editor instead the SFM's Hammer editor (I just use the .exe located at $steamapps/common/team-fortress2/bin/hammer.exe)
-"Run the map" in Normal mode, with everything set as "Normal" and with the HDR's box checked.

Thank you so much Custard Crems for your help and for your time!

Did you do it with SFM hammer?

It isn't published, nor finished either. But if you want I can upload the VMF that I decompiled.

Hi, so sorry for the delay, but I think that I found the problem. It could be the Sun, because I remove it and I put Lights on it and now it is taking its time to compile. Two hours stuck in the same part: "PortalFlow 0...1..." (before I remove the sun, the map compiles very fast, just one minute). Maybe this will finish tomorrow, so tomorrow I will reply if the HDR is working now.

awesome.. best of luck!!
I have bad news.
Yesterday I left my computer on all the night. When I go to sleep, my computer was in "PortalFlow 0...1...", (It was that 4 hours before, stuck in the same part), today when I woke, my computer was in "PortalFlow 0...1...2", it's means that almost 12 hours my computer just advanced one point, so I cancel it, because this can take days, and my computer was on fire (I had to put it on low priority and with using only 4 of the 8 CPU's Cores).

Is there a way to make "PortalFlow" more fastest? I read on FacePunch that there is third-party compilers that is better than VVIS but they didn't say any names.

Machine: HP Envy 15-q002la
OS: Windows 10 Pro x64
CPU: Intel Core i7-4712HQ. 2.30GHz (8 Cores)
Ram: 12 GB
GPU1: Intel HD Graphics 4600 = 6 GB (although it must be 4GB)
GPU2: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M = 10GB (although it must be 6GB)

It's not the best computer... But it make big things.

The 850m has 2gb ddr3, not 10gb or 6gb. And could you dropbox me the map file?

The 850M has 4GB actually:

Name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M (4 GB)
Type: Dedicated
Speed: 4571
Memory: 4 GB

And sorry, right now i'm not at home, I'll try to compile one more time, and if it doesn't success, I'll upload it to see if you can fix it.

My fault haha, there is a 4gb variant of the 2gb card...
Okey.

So I finally come back to home. I deleted all the things/props from the map to include everything as models in SFM, that's means that the map is just a "Set". Now I can compile the map without to wait more than one hour, but there is a problem with VRAD:
After creating the portaflow without any problem, the compiler try to compile the lights (there is only a Sun, I added it again to try from zero) but then appears a box saying "VRAD has stopped working" and the compile finish in that moment.

If I try the map on SFM, the "HDR Disabled" appears again.

Well, anyway, just as I promise, here is the RAR with the VMF, the LOG of the last compile, and the BSP (an another things that I added just in case).

{LINK REMOVED}

I will try to do something else to fix this, but the compilation take its time, and I need my computer to do somes works.
If you find the problem I will be very grateful, that map is so basic to any mapper.... but I need it to do a Teaser Trailer.
