Compressing a video?
I wanna compress my videos without putting it through you-tube as that lowers the quality down to like 480p which isn't great. If you have any good websites that can compress it enough so i can send it through discord or not would be great. thanks.

wait what? you actually uploading it to youtube, to download it, to send on discord?

are you kiddding?

there are actual video compression tools out there on the internet. search for things like handbrake or similar programs. if you'd be interested to expand, you could get blender. it's a good tool for modelling for source, and has a video sequencer you could use to edit and compress your videos.

Holy Crud, Handbrake??? I haven't used that in years and totally forgot it even existed!!!

Another blast from the past I'll have to check on again.

it was just an example. a lil aio conversion only tool. i know it had a simple interface back then. throw the files in and select the bitrate or target size and output format. in the end, most tools (if not all) use open soruce libraries like the popular one... ffmpeg.

Blender uses ffmpeg, it's actually embedded in it and I've become accustom to using it as second nature now. I used to use Handbrake all the time, but had completely forgotten about it. But yeah, it was (is) a great little program for converting formats.
I use handbrake all the time. Too bad i cant figure out how to output a video as 4k since it won't let me enter that resolution, despite the images being 4k
