"Global Lighting"?
So anytime I mess with Source Filmmaker, I always just lock a few lights to the camera so that the view never has poopy lighting... However, here and there I've seen people mention "global lighting"... How do I do this?

Like shadows from a farther light source, say a sun?

Boss7336 made a tutorial on lighting in one part, I'll send you a link where he starts to discuss it.

https://youtu.be/0D37Z_hP4Nw?t=100 ( The Scenebuild tutorial )

I believe this is the part where he will start discussing about the lighting.

Global/Ambient lights don't exist in Source FilmMaker (except when baked into the map). This means you just have to take a light and stuff it as far away as possible, as in the video. But if there's anything of your video going on inside/behind stuff, that will not be lighted by the light.

gosh. that tut is weird. you could use it. but to have it easier enable the light frustum and get your shot stuff in it. this is to get most out of it with all the soft lighting.

Thanks, all! I think Boss7336's way is best for my case, even though it has mostly his personal opinion. I'm in a map with crappy lighting, with a lot of stuff in the distant background, so I can't just change my shot's lighting without making the rest of the map look weird. Usually I do episoder's lighting idea, which works well for me.
