Omnidirectional Lighting?
I've been looking for a guide on how to create a light source that would essentially direct light like a sphere. Sorry I don't know how to explain very well, I mean like a 360 degree light source. Like a light bulb. I was sure there was something like this in sfm but I guess im wrong. Anyways, does anyone know how to create a 360 degree light source?

you can do it using multiple lights pointing in different directions, but as far as I'm aware its impossible to do using just one light.

the cheap version is to use 2 spot lamps facing each other and having an angle of 179.99 / 180 degrees. this is good enough for lamps above characters. or situations where you can hide the intersection of the lamp's shadow maps. you can in theory have 4 of those in a scene. the shadow map resolution limits this in terms of shadow quality too tho.

the more expensive version is to use 6 lamps arranged like a cube with 90 degree lamps. you can only have 1 of those in a scene and have 2 spot lamps or a cheap "bulb" spare.
