SFM Not responding on Startup
I have used SFM for about a year now with few problems, but recently when I attempt to launch SFM it stays on the startup screen indefinitely untill I click on the window, which then windows claims SFM is not responding.

I have verified my cache and reinstalled SFM entirely. Opening it through SDK crashes instantly leaving qsdklauncher hiding in the background applications. I have also tried deleting registry files and installing again, nothing is working.

Help would be most appreciated.

Okay, the thing is that you need to wait patiently for it to work first of all. And second, do not mess with anything that's already in the SFM, or else you can really damage it instead of fixing it. Just wait for it to launch. If it spends over and hour and so on launching, then that's a real problem with your computer processing this massive information. What to do? Ctrl+Alt+Delete to open up Task Manager and take a look at what happens when you run SFM. It will either show you hl2 or sfm, but this is a game engine. Take a look at how much CPU is being used. If it's rapidly in the 100% or around there, then there is your problem. :/

I ran it overnight, came back to the same screen :/

So far it only uses up 10% of my CPU and 9% of my memory while still not responding.

Bump! Some news.

An update for SFM came in. When It started it worked!

Then I tried opening it again and it's not responding again...

Any Solutions?

Yes I got it working again. It required reinstalling SFM and all Source SDK tools entirely (make sure all files are removed from your computer). Also within that time I replaced my GPU. So if reinstalling all Source SDK files doesn't fix it, it could be an issue with your graphics card.
