the 3 way blend is supposed to handle the transition.
Need more info on the exact order of operations you're doing
If you make a taunt that starts and ends with the player's "standing while holding the primary weapon" pose, then using the taunt while holding a melee weapon will make the player blend from a melee pose to a primary pose, then to the taunt. And when the taunt ends, the player will blend from the taunt to a primary pose, then to a melee pose. This looks bad... and is unfortunately very common with Team Fortress 2's taunts.
What doesn't work, what did you expect would happen, and what happened instead?
how do you use 3 way blend? i've never seen that option in sfm
If the taunt starts with a jump, then the first few frames should probably have the spine bent over and the arms pointing down in a lead-up to the jump. If the taunt starts with the character spreading their arms to the side in mild surprise about a prop appearing in front of them, then the first few frames should have the character's arms and hands slightly in front of their belly, ready to do the "spreading their arms to the side" motion. Et cetera.
That is to say, there's no specific pose to start with - just start with the taunt itself.
so when i put it in game spy is just holding his primary weapon (tf2 importer) probably because i imported the ragdollspawn and i expected the animation to work
if the taunt starts with standing what should the first few frames be?
