Portal 2 DLC wont work
Some people know that there was an update where SFM will have a portal 2 DLC when you start up and will give you it(that's what I read for the new update) so I start up and it says portal 2, portal 2 DLC, and portal 2 DLC 2 for loading moddles but there is nothing there. can someone help plz?

I'v watched that video one time befor the DLC and I think I did stuff rong because evey TF2 and rigs lost there skin and you can only see the bones but I will re-watch. I got the skin back by deleting SFM and re-instaling it but ahead of time, thanks

Edit: actruly I don't think I seen this video

That's not how you do it. You need to right click SFM in your library, go to properties, and in the DLC tab, check Portal 2.

I forgot that I deleted portal 2. Madye thats y I dont have it and I will try that R234

After you select the DLC for downloading, you have to exit SFM and wait for it to be downloaded. It might take a while. The bottom of the Steam client UI should show your downloads in progress.

portal 2 should show, but the dlc was still packed into vpks. sfm just updated to unpack them.

it also cleaned out the gameinfo.txt file, so you have manually add all your mods, even the DLC, back in.

that happend to me but someone said "You need to right click SFM in your library, go to properties, and in the DLC tab, check Portal 2. Dammit valve.

*sigh* the listing in the gameinfo.txt has to be in a specific order for your valve specific mods to show up. interestingly the model veiwer will still "see" them, but not actually show them. (the model count reflects those folders despite not being visible.)

these folders have to be in this order in the gameinfo.txt file (any others can be anywhere above hl2

Game portal2_dlc2
Game portal2_dlc1
Game portal2
Game tf_movies
Game tf
Game left4dead2_movies
Game hl2
Game workshop
