the manually updating tf2 content guide has a lot of mad people in the comments saying sfm wont run after they do it, sooo, is there a different way?

Did you even try it? SFM probably isnt running for them because they might not have enough memory.
side problem, something is wrong with my computer, and it wont let me open program files (x86) in file explorer, im trying to find out how to fix this but im not seeing anything so far.

Explain in detail pleae
so when i open file explorer go to this PC > Windows (C:) > Program Files (x86) it wont load (any other program works fine when i open it.), and when i try to close file explorer or go back, my entire computer freezes and i get a pop up saying windows has stopped responding close program? or something, but i cant click anything, the only thing i can do is turn off my computer and move my mouse. I'm not that great with computers, but i think a solution could be maybe making a shortcut to steam without opening program files x86 somehow?

Restart your PC and try again

Are you running on a 32 bit or 64bit machine

32, and i can get past it by making a short cut to something without clicking on program files, so its fine if theres no way to fix it.
