Reflection on models
Hey, I was looking for how to make reflection on models. Sadly I didn't find anything. Could you guys help?

If we're talking actual mirror reflections, this is one of the things that the (fairly old) Source engine can't handle.

The most you really get is $envmap: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/$envmap

That's not really what I meant but thanks anyway. I thought it as a small reflection for example on robots on their body when they are clean

It's really hard to explain

If you want static pre-compiled reflections of the surrounding area, add "$EnvMap env_cubemap" (without quotes) to the VMT material file(s). (This can not be added to a model through override materials.)
If you want static pre-made custom reflections, specify a custom cube-map texture instead of "env_cubemap" for the above material parameter.
If you want dynamic reflections of things that you add and pose around within Source Filmmaker, that's sadly impossible. (Technically, you can get that, but only on a brush (map geometry; not a model), and only on a completely flat surface).

Edit:

Depending on what you mean, have you tried enabling $Phong with a high value for $PhongBoost (like 20 to 50-ish) and also a high value for $PhongExponent (like 50 to 100-ish)?

Edit: Wait a minute for me to edit this.
Well that's quite confusing isn't it xD
