After Effects
Has anyone made an SFM animation and used Adobe After Effects for different effects such as fire? Just curious

Using video editor to edit rendered SFM video is pretty common regardless the software you're using. Nobody surprised with that fact.

Your thread sounds like you have a specific question regarding After Effect.

i'm sure alotta people have done that. i (for example) haven't. i don't like the non-integration of effects in terms of reaction in the 3d world. it's hassle todo right. i mean you always gotta render the large depthbuffer output with it and can only compute from this. it's not always the greatest result or easy to get done.

i was just curious because ive seen people use after effects to composite fire into like staircases and stuff and i just wondered "hmm, i wonder if somebody has done something like that in sfm"
