STILL CONFUSED ABOUT UNLITGENERIC
Just had a whole conversation in CUSTOM TEXT OVERLAY, I have been explained over many times and I have gone crazy over this. I need a simpler explanation here, I have seen the command for putting unlitgeneric in a vtf file, but how do I put it in?

This could have been kept in your previous thread, there's really no point in creating another. But to answer your question:

You have the file extensions confused. UnlitGeneric goes in the VMT file (the material, a text file), not the VTF file (the texture, an image file). It's the first line of text in the file, and the only one outside the main set of curly brackets. Refer back to Marco's post #14 in the other thread for an example:

I know I could, but uh... It's a long story. My phone is running out of battery, I will see you later.

Edit 1: Okay, I have purple and black checkers on my screen, I can move around but it still doesn't show my overlay.

Edit 2: I THINK I KNOW WHY! MY VTF IS NOT A PROPER VTF!!!!! I need to make it again.

Edit 3: Didn't work that time, but then I made realized my mistake. Someone said no to change the destination of the vtf or vmt file or it will get "corrupted". IT WORKED! Although it does look blurry. How do I fix it?
