Ok, you may want to explain things a bit more than this, this makes little sense, other than you have some sort of sound problem...

I have no idea what you mean by "scratch folder". I can only find a few of hits for that phrase related to SFM across the whole of Google, and most of those links seem to be dead.

Like you put your favorite song and you animate a song like put the music to sfm it’s not there and I check the sfm scorch folder it’s there

First off, SFM has no scratch folder, at least none that I've seen, and I've been messing with SFM for a while now (670+ hrs) and I've not seen this 'scratch folder'.
Second, any sounds, music or dialogue that you add to SFM has to be placed in a 'sound' folder. That's where SFM will look for it. If you put it anywhere else, then that is probably why SFM cannot find it.
Third, the sound files have to be in the correct format or SFM will not handle them properly.
SFM does not like .mp3. An .mp3 will sometimes work, but usually only temporarily.
The best format to use is a .wav file in the following format:
PCM 16bit 44100Hz (44.1kHz) bitrate.

Looking through my SFM installation, the sfm_scratch folder does exist, but it's for sound recorded in SFM (e.g. custom dialogue, if you should choose to record things in SFM rather than using other software). This folder should be kept specifically for that purpose, and is not where you should be putting music files.

In any case, what exactly (including file extension) is the file you're trying to put in to SFM called?

What is the location of this 'sfm_scratch' folder? I've looked through my install and cannot find one, hence my reply...

I've only got it in my "user_old" folder, which is the remains of what used to be my original usermod folder*.

* After I learnt enough about why installing to usermod was a bad idea, I renamed "usermod" to "user_old", put it to the bottom of the load order, then had Steam build me a new usermod.
I've been slowly sorting through the original folder since to organise it into proper mods, with the intention of eventually disabling it entirely.

As it's not also in my current usermod, I assume it's only created if you record dialogue in SFM (which I think I only really did when first experimenting with the program, given the completely inane recordings there are of me in there).

Ahh, that makes sense...
I've never recorded any audio from within SFM. If I wanted to test voice lines, I just recorded them in an external program, then imported them.
