Checkerboard Particles and Models.

I noticed that some patterns and some particles instead of their true color are black and purple at checkerboard. Why does this happen? And is there any way to fix it?

black and purple color means that model,particle,pattern has broken textures. This is all I can say to you I dont know how to fix.

Models that appear this way are missing their texture files. This can be caused by incorrectly named .vmt/.vtf files or they are simply in the wrong spot that SFM is trying to look for them.

Also, some materials in the files were probably test type materials or were for a special project like a trailer but were packed into the game anyway and just don't have textures. Because they are never called by the game, it never mattered if they were there or not.

I have a slight problem. So my Checkerboard has been replaced by a new texture. Its not the black and Pink one anymore but for some reason a black and blue lightning picture. Can someone help me maybe?
