Polarnoid custom vtf black?
I made a vtf for the Polarnoid picture (from sfm beta content) and when I import it the photo had the picture but instead of the photo being white around it, it turned black while the others are normal. What did I do wrong?

It depends on what you're putting on the picture, which model your using and what the layer mask on the picture looks like. Showing us something like this in SFM tells us nothing. All we see is a black panel. We need to see how you set up the VTF in the image software you used.

I used gimp. All I did was insert a image, used a tool so I can click on the edges and shrink the image I want and put it over the heavy. But when I saved it as vtf I noticed that unlike the heavy, in vtfedit around the image was white but my custom one was black. I dont understand cause I didnt do anything different and the image was a png so I couldn't of done anything about the outside.
