Pretty much any decent NVIDIA/AMD one. As long as you have at least a decent GPU, Source Filmmaker will in most cases be limited by the CPU, not the GPU.

In broad terms, the answer is "a graphics card".

While technically a powerhouse like the GTX 1080 Ti would be better than a lower specification card, SFM is mainly CPU limited, so while it needs a graphics card to actually support all its shaders, it doesn't much matter what graphics card.

I once upgraded from the rather obsolete HD 7570 to the somewhat more up-to-date GTX 750 Ti (roughly twice as powerful), but saw scarcely 1% improvement in the time taken to render a test scene.

With that in mind, I'd strongly suggest using against SFM as your yardstick for picking a graphics card.
I'd suggest choosing a graphics card to be broadly in line with the specification of the rest of your computer, so as to maximise the number of games your computer is up-to-date for.

(However, I can't give specific suggestions without knowing more about your computer's specification, ideally including the rating of the power supply).

anything that is much better than this minimum standard

(NVIDIA GeForce 400 series or AMD Radeon 5000 series preferred)

I use Radeon 5870, 6670 and 7770 video cards without a problem, I also use a Nvidia 1070 when I have to do some power rendering. These cards not only work with SFM, they also work well with Blender in both Blender and cycles render modes and with Substance Painter.
