What is a good computer for SFM?
Someone please help me I am so frustrated because everywhere I look for an answer, I don't get one or it is something I totally Don't understand. So if anyone answers, could you try to explain it because I'm not very good with computer terms yet and only know the basics. I work well with SFM but my computer is preventing me from being able to make animations. :(

- A CPU with the best single core performance you can get your hands on. The number of cores is meaningless for SFM, as it can't multi-thread.
- A graphics card. However, SFM is heavily CPU dependent, so any modern-ish gaming card will be pretty much fine.
- 64-bit Windows, with at least 6GB of RAM and preferably 8 GB. (Although SFM is 32-bit and cannot use more than about 3.5 GB of RAM, the operating system and other programs need some RAM of their own).
- A large capacity storage drive to store all the assets and renders. Solid state is obviously preferable, although raw capacity is probably more important than speed.

Thank You so much. Do you by any chance know any examples of that?

No. All I know is that my computer runs Source FilmMaker (and games and such) pretty well, but was fairly expensive when I bought its parts (but not too expensive).

Okay, so they are parts I have to buy? That makes everything way more clear now. I get that I need to get parts for it, I just need to research what Pc to actually purcase now. Thanks again Though :)

buying "prebuilded" PC = throwing minimum half of its price to nowhere

So if you're looking for a good computer to run SFM well, you could look for some PC or laptop but make sure the specs are suitable for today and SFM As well, I would suggest getting an GTX (GTX is more high demanding and designed for gaming than GTs) but you should be getting 1050 Ti or more than that if you want to make it more detailed, an CPU with atleast 3.0ghz and few or more cores and threads (Whether thats AMD or Intel), an 8-16gb ram, an SDD and a Windows 10 64 bit.

But if you have your own PC today, I would suggest to do some upgrades on it, if you're looking somewhere to buy, Amazon and eBay should do its work.

Thanks for suggestive , cuz im saving money to get PC to finally handle it cuz my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ laptop can not for last 4 years using SFM ....
Go for anything that's 3.0 Ghz (Intel icore or AMD, your choice but I mostly prefer intel *it's also pretty cheap too!*), 8 (or above) gb of ram, SDD (Your choice), graphics card that is atleast around 2gb and windows 10 64 bit (Never 32 bit, it's dogsh*t).
