Tutorial on how to rig a model for SFM/Rig Flexes?
Topic title. Anyone got a tutorial on how to rig a model for use in SFM, and how to rig flexes properly? I know at the very least your not supposed to make a bone for each part of a mouth as the flex system is supposed to replace that.

I will be using Blender, but even a maya or 3dsmax tutorial should work too as its all the same thing under the hood, just different ways to get there.

Also what are Bodygroups people keep talking about?

That's a great tutorial, I'd definitely take the time to go through it. It's very, very long though. Took me a few weeks to get through the whole thing O_O

Also, follow this playlist. Build the butterfly (or something else) and get it into SFM from Blender.

... Flexes are going to be super annoying and slow to make it looks like. Good thing this first model is pretty simple...

Might send you more questions as I work on the model. On the sculpting stage atm.

If your sculpting, you're most likely going to end up a very high poly model and may have to re-topo it back into a lower poly one.

Oh, I already know how to make a topo for animation from a sculpt. Its just rigging that'll be new to me.

Though now I'm thnking I should sculpt some eyelids even though the character has none or something.
