[HELP] I can't download SFM
Hi! Can someone help me how to get SFM, I can't download it. It stays on connection timed out, everytime I keep downloading and canceling it. I've waiting for hours and still can't download this damn app. Any suggestions?

Reinstall steam, might be steam on maintenance, or its probably your internet.

Unfortunately, you just have to keep on trying over and over until it works. There's no known way to make it fail less.

You'll have better luck than most of the early adopters during the launch week. I took a week just to get SFM to start downloading.

I downloaded Source FilmMaker the first day of the public release, and I only had to try once. (And when I later went to download it on my desktop computer (around November 2016), I also only had to try once.) So saying "most" there... While I don't know if it's wrong, I do know that didn't apply to me.

What kind of pony magic did you use?

I still remember tons of threads about downloading issue back in the day.

The first suggestion not work for me, still not getting SFM, but I think might be my internet's the problem. I'll try to check it, anyway, thanks.

Then try waiting until tomorrow, then try another 20 times or so.

I highly recommend the first thing you do when you've downloaded Source FilmMaker is to watch and mimic/follow along the official tutorials, by the way. You may already know some of what they explain, or can maybe guess some of it on your own, but they definitely help teach the basics and the user interface, and that's very important to know for a program, as you can imagine. And just watching isn't really enough to learn it all, so make sure to do the same stuff as what the people in the tutorials do. (Also, you may want to enable closed captions/subtitles in the videos, as that will make it easier to hear and understand some of the things.)

Alright, thanks. I'm gonna try to watch them later if my app is downloaded. Besides, I'm still only a beginner, so I'll try to watch the basics of using SFM first before I proceed to anything. :steamhappy:
